Pont-Aven French Butter Cookies

Metaphore believes that every great cup of tea or coffee deserves a great cookie to go along with it!  We've discovered something our French customers already knew about and are happy to see in our store, the lovely Pont-Aven butter cookies baked by Biscuiterie de Traou Mad.  Based in the town of Pont-Aven on Brittany's Atllantic coast, this traditional French bakery has been making these buttery delights since 1920.  Traou Mad means "good things" in Breton dialect!  Only fresh ingredients are used in their secret recipe - do butter, flour, sugar and eggs need frills?    Made by hand, "a l'ancienne."  26% butter.  No preservatives.
